Dave Moore's Motivation to Run for Congress

South Carolina's 3rd District deserves a real alternative to the do-nothing incumbent and leftist challengers for once. I have nothing against Jeff Duncan personally, just the way he runs his office and fails to introduce suggestions or legislation to get us out of this Second Depression, not to mention ignoring the needs of his constituent veterans. The Founding Fathers were opposed to "politicians for life" as they become lazy and out of touch.

Help Dave Moore get us back to what the Founding Fathers intended: no career politicians, citizens serving short terms in political office, transparency and openness, the economy first, not "going abroad in search of monsters to destroy, and...the emphasis of ALL working toward the "common good."

Duncan's 80-20 percent landslides against weak Democratic Party candidates means he is safe and doesn't have to work.  I am positive moderates, whether Republicans, Democrats, Independents, etc., are ready for a moderate Third Party candidate. In reality, we have seen that both candidates of the Republican and Democratic parties are pro-corporate, pro-offshoring jobs and pro-war.

Both parties are deaf to our needs—proven in every town hall meeting.

Dave Moore is the only non-corporate party candidate.

That is why I am running for Congress as the American Party SC candidate, the only non-corporate party that strives for the majority of voters who occupy the middle.  I served in the US Army as a volunteer, in Vietnam in airmobile and infantry regiments as a truck driver, door gunner and radio operator.  When I returned I served as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne (MOS 36K2P). I worked my way through college as a truck driver and laborer. I have degrees in German Literature (three years at Heidelberg and West Berlin), US History and Anthropology. I speak four languages, including Arabic, and am the only candidate who understands and lived in the Middle East. Most importantly, concerning the arming of militias in Syria and Iraq, I wrote a thesis on counterinsurgency in 1984, "The Effects of Insurgency and Counterinsugency Warfare on Tribal Populations." It's easy to see why the area is out of control.

America needs to get back to basics to be strong again.

We are so far from what the Founding Fathers envisioned it is no wonder our middle class has been destroyed.  As you read through my platform, you will notice Alexander Hamilton started "protective tariffs" to protect our own manufacturing; these worked fine for over 200 years until Reagan repealed them and our jobs were shipped to China and Mexico. Help me get us back to what the Founding Fathers intended: no career politicians, citizens serving short terms in political office, transparency and openness, the economy first, not "going abroad in search of monsters to destroy, and...the emphasis of ALL working toward the "common good."

This last aspect, stated TWICE in our Constitution, is missing in current politics.
